Abstract

Q-switched frequency-doubled visible laser pumped by laser diode is a very important device and has wide applications. LD-pumped self-frequency-doubled green laser has attracted a great deal of interests in recent years. Because of its small size, light weight, and simplicity of fabrication. But up to date the reported peak power of this kind of laser are not large enough for most of applications. This paper report the first, acousto-optic Q-switched self-frequency-doubling laser pumped by LD. The experiment setup and newest results are described, and some experimental phenomena are discussed.
