Luminescent properties of Eu2+ doped CaS-Ga2S3 system

    Series of Eu2+ doped CaS-Ga2S3 system phosphor were synthesized by solid state method under high temperature. Their spectra of photoluminescence, XRD and reflection spectra were measured at room temperature. When Ga/Ca < 2, the components of the phosphor are the mixture of CaS and CaGa2S4, and when Ga/Ca > 2, the phosphor were the mixture of Ga2S3 and CaGa2S4. Results show that a suitable excess of gallium could improve light efficiency of CaGa2S4 : Eu2+.
