Abstract

The editors’ concluding comments bring together insights that emerge from the studies about the types of role-related conflicts, the ways physicians experience these conflicts, and suggestions for managing the conflicts. The editors then review the contributions from the two conceptual chapters, each of which offers innovative frameworks through which to understand the variety of conflicts and quandaries confronting today’s medical professionals.
