Abstract

Drawing on a bounded-rationality perspective, this study introduces the concept of managerial misperception of country differences—the deviation of managers’ perceived differences from actual ones. We theoretically derive and empirically examine antecedents and performance effects of managerial misperception of country differences using data from 186 managerial assessments.
