Abstract

Adolescent depression is associated with other behaviours including anxiety, suicide, conduct disorder and substance abuse disorder. The interrelationship between these disorders is complex, and can lead to significant distress and functional impairment with long-term consequences on adult mental health, as well as significant social, psychological and physical morbidity.
