Abstract

The management of anticoagulated patients undergoing a urological procedure is complex; it is a difficult task to write specific guidelines which can be applied to every anticoagulated patient. We feel that the involvement of a haematologist is important, especially in high-risk patients with mechanical heart valves, and in those who have had a recent thromboembolism.
