This is a detailed study of the turbulent reign of King Teti ( approx. 2345 BC) and the role played at the time by Mereruka, the Vizier and son-in-law of the king. The study examines the origine of Teti and Mereruka, the nature of the reign, and how it affected Egypt for the remaining part of the Sixth Dynasty. It also throw light on the architectural and artistic achievements of the period.
