Abstract

In this paper, we present a novel MicroPhotonic RF signal processor that integrates fibre collimators, opto-VLSI processors, and a WDM combiner within an optical substrate to control various fibre Bragg grating cavities, thus achieving adaptive RF filtering. Results show that a reconfigurable 64-cavity MicroPhotonic RF processor can generate arbitrary RF responses.
