Abstract
The Microsoft Learning Object (MiLO) project is a component of the local Microsoft NZ Partners in Learning (PiL) programme a worldwide initiative designed to further the use of digital technologies in teaching and learning. This study built on previous research outlining the complexity of factors (technical and human) impacting on the learning value derived from Digital Learning Objects (DLOs). The present report is part of a series to describe the factors influential in that domain as documented through Microsoft New Zealand's commissioned research.
