Abstract
This paper deals with the variation of MIMO channel capacity, channel correlation and impact on BER in a close loop system (CSI at transmitter). Simulation studies shows that relative to open loop system (CSI not at transmitter) and i.i.d channel conditions, the channel capacity of a close loop system reduces, as Eo/No increases. The consequence is that, it has deteriorating impact on the BER of the system. Moreover, as channel correlation becomes more pronounced with increasing Eo/No, we see significant effects at higher Eo/No than lower Eo/No points in terms of channel capacity and BER in a close loop MIMO system.
