Abstract
Hamblin's (1962) X‐radiographic technique for examining the minor structures of sandstone and siltstone is applied to the study of structures in cores of unconsolidated sediments. The technique is capable of revealing particles not visible on the surface of the core, of resolving structures poorly defined in reflected light, and of revealing latent structures in apparently homogeneous sediments.
