Abstract

A microstrip patch antenna with transmission line feed is proposed. Simulated parametric analysis has been carried out to understand the effects of various parameters and is employed to optimize the performance of design with consistent gain and stable radiation patterns. FR4 substrate with thickness of 1.6 mm is used for fabrication, with an overall size of 60 × 60 mm2. The presented antenna is tested using network analyzer and anechoic chamber making it operational for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, Zig-Bee, Airport Search Radars, Fixed / Public Security Systems and Mobile Radio Services working at 2.40, 3.80, 4.90, 7.10, 7.60, 9.40 and 10.30 GHz with bandwidths for S11 less than -10 dB.
