Abstract

The design of an L-band (1.225 to 1.525 GHz) multibeam feed array for the Arecibo radio telescope is outlined. The feed is a seven-element hexagonal array of TE11-mode stepped circular horns. We describe the performance of the horns in the array and in the radio telescope.
