    Abstract

The developments and applications in multiplex, continuous-wave spectroscopic sensing with a swept ringdown cavity and optical heterodyne detection were discussed. Continuous ringdown (CRD) absorption spectroscopy with continuous-wave (cw) tunable coherent sources is used to measure very weak optical absorption spectra. The schematic of a single-ended optical heterodyne detected (OHD) cw-CRD spectrometer with a rapidly swept optical cavity was presented.
