An element-by-element analysis of mutual coupling in waveguide-fed parallel plate lenses is described which uses solutions for the surface field excited by a magnetic dipole on a concave cylindrical conductor. Coupling coefficients computed by this method are compared with measured results for a circular and a Rotman lens.
