Namespaces Outside of Containers (tutorial materials)

Research output: Working paperPreprint

Abstract

Linux namespaces are one half of the infrastructure used to create "containers", but it is not commonly known that namespaces can be effectivelyused without requiring the use of container technology such as Docker or Kubernetes. This tutorial provided an overview of the current namespaces thatcan be used and the tools that exist to interact with namespaces, and provided some practical examples (primarily around named network namespaces) that wererun by learners on their own systems. The attached materials are the resources provided to the learners.
