For a migrant, there is no there, there. We are from nowhere land. This work focused on the time-lagged communication of in-between spaces, in the contemporary mediatised environment. In-between senses. In-between signifier and signified, in-between digital and analogue communication, in-between audience and performer, and, after all, in-between 'u' and 's' - us, which belongs to nowhere, abyss and silence. Performed during 'Trans:actions: Culture and Performance - FIRT 2001' at The Performance Space, Redfern, 8-10 July 2001.
