Non-collinear beam combining of kilowatt beams in a diamond Raman amplifier

Abstract

We demonstrate Raman beam combining of three incoherent beams in diamond using a non-collinear pump geometry. At the kilowatt peak power level, more than 70% of each beam is converted to the Stokes beam at 1240 nm.
