Abstract
The paper discusses the opportunity that abiogenic mechanisms may be part of the present or the future of the oil on earth. Hydrocarbons are certainly naturally formed in space abiogenically and it is not to be ruled out the possibility that hydrocarbons are also formed abiogenically on earth at high pressures and temperatures. Novel synthetic mechanisms may also be derived by mimic and enhancing the abiogenic natural formation.
