    Abstract

The operation state of β-barium borate optical parametric oscillator is being studied theoretically and experimentally. The numerical simulation of the pulse, injection seeded OPO showed the same performances of BBO OPO. The model calculates a large set of first order rate equations representing time evolution of all fields in the OPO cavity. It was shown that injection seeding lowers the threshold for OPO operation and lessens output pulse buildup time thereby causing OPO cavity to choose cavity modes nearest to the seed wavelength.
