On a wavelet-based method of estimating a regression function

Abstract

This article considers two-dimensional wavelet expansion of joint density function in introducing new regression function estimator. Some asymptotic properties of the proposed estimator are investigated. It is found that the new estimator have similar properties to its counterparts studied earlier in literature.
