Abstract
In this paper, an anomaly intensity is proposed based on the Fisher statistic quantity, and the anomaly intensity field for deformation is also created in the Southwest China area at denser monitoring sites. Analyzing the anomaly pattern, the inhomogeneous characteristics and its evolution are discussed under assuming the seismic activity in group. The relation between deformation anomaly-concentrated area (or deformation gap) and seismic gap, and the relation between seismic activity and anomaly intensity field within and outside the seismic gap are explored.
