Abstract

The spline-based method for solving the Fredholm integral equation of the first kind, earlier suggested by Beniaminy and Deutsch, is discussed. The inaccuracy of the solution is estimated. It is shown that this inaccuracy is of the order of O(h3) where h is a small parameter reflecting the measure of δ-likeness of the kernel.
