    Abstract

The original collection locality for four species and one subspecies of Australian birds (Rose-crowned Fruit-Dove Ptilinopus regina, Noisy Pitta Pitta versicolor, Barred Cuckoo-shrike Coracina lineata, Paradise Riflebird Ptiloris paradiseus and White-winged Triller Lalage sueuni tricolor) is discussed. Although no firm locality can be determined, historical evidence suggests that it was probably near Port Macquarie, New South Wales.
