Abstract
We propose a novel optical correlator employing an Opto-VLSI processor in conjunction with an array of fibre Bragg gratings with different Bragg wavelengths for optical header recognition. The recognition of 5-bit optical header patterns is experimentally dem onstrated at 2.27 Gb/s.
