Abstract
The dispersibility of gold nanoparticles and dodecanethiol-capped particles in a variety of solvents were investigated. The results suggested that surface modified particles had a better dispersibility than unmodified ones in organic solvents. The proposed method was not restricted to gold nanoparticles and was believed useful in studying nanoparticles of other metallic and semiconductor materials.
