Optical waveguide fabrication for the mid-infrared in fluorophosphate glasses

Abstract

A systematic parameter study into the inscription of optical waveguides into the mid-infrared compatible fluorophosphate glass N-FK58 is presented. Results show that the fabrication of structures with high numerical aperture is feasible in this material.
