Abstract

In this paper we analyse the effects of unequal user powers on the optimal linear multistage multiuser receiver. This receiver is based on a weighted matrix polynomial expansion. For an overview of linear multistage receivers and large system analysis see [1-4] and references therein. Our main contribution is in deriving the signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SIR) (and the large system SIR) at the output of the optimal linear multistage receiver for unequal user powers as a continued fraction.
