    Abstract

This paper reports our experimental setups to characterize the superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) that is packaged in-house. Our packaging method ensures not only a satisfied optical coupling efficiency but also a wide band electrical connection. The packaging approach has been proved to meet the needs of cryogenic operations. The basic optoelectronic characterization results including quantum efficiency and dark count rate indicate a good agreement with the expected values.
