Abstract

The present invention relates to a pantograph damage and wear monitoring system, and provides a system for assessing the state of the pantograph. The system includes: a track-side pantograph monitoring station, while the locomotive including the pantograph is in normal service , Capture one or more images of the pantograph; station management system, analyze one or more images captured at the monitoring point and determine the status of the pantograph; and user interface, control the system and present the analysis results to the user. The user can remotely control the track side monitoring station and the station management system.
