Abstract

An external passive cavity has been used to demonstrate more than 200-times enhancement of a 1-W-average-power Yb chirped mode-locked fiber-laser-system emitting ≈120- fs pulses at 90-MHz repetition-rate. Peak intra-cavity intensities of >1012 W/cm2 were achieved.
