Perceptions about health in primary school children

    Abstract

    What concepts do children have about health? Do these change with age? This paper presents findings from a study using drawings, writing and interviews from young children about their concepts of health. The authors also suggest areas within primary science in which these findings could be helpful for teachers developing students' ideas about themselves as living things.
