Abstract

A series of sedimentary-hydrothermal diplogenetic strata-bound gold-copper deposits occur in Tongling, Anhui Province in China. Taking Chaoshan gold deposit for a case study, we have investigated the physiochemical and isotopic characteristics of the hydrothermal diplogenetic fluid and geochemical characteristics of Baimanshan proxene diorite, around which the deposit is hosted, in comparison with contemporary plutons to further discuss the heterogeneity of Yanshanian magmatism and its metallogenetic significance for diverse ore deposits in this ore-field.
