Abstract

Radiotelescope receivers frequently require close temperature and humidity control to ensure phase and amplitude stability. Pilot signals may be used with appropriate control circuitry to overcome such requirements. In the system described here, a feedback phase and amplitude control circuit is used in conjunction with 'inphase' and 'quadrature' correlators to provide a novel correlator system.
