Abstract

This paper describes the development of a six-planar electromagnetic hexagonal sensor, which consists of a hexagonal spiral coil, an inductor, and an interdigital capacitor. The magnetic field produced by the inductor hexagonal coil and the electric field produced by the inter-digital capacitor combine to form an electromagnetic field. The hexagonal shape Spiral coils have three, four, and five turns. The sensor has been tested at frequencies ranging from 50Hz to 200 KHz. The impedance variation of all sensors in air is used to determine their sensor properties. The sensors are tested in distilled water. The ammonium-dehydrate-phosphate is mixed with distilled water and the different concentration were used to test the sensor selectivity and sensitivity.
