Abstract

Recent decision finding that policies have no contractual force on an employment contract - policies are considered a formal method of regulating employment issues - clarify the employee’s rights and responsibilities and identify accepted standards of conduct - unless provisions carefully incorporated into the initial contract the common law rules of contract variation apply.
