Abstract

The optimality of the scheme for universal quantum computation with any two-qubit entangling gate was discussed. The method used does not allowed an interaction to be interrupted by one-qubit gates at arbitrary times. It was shown that the proof provided a simple constructive procedure which was close to optimal and experimentally practical.
