Abstract

3D pelvic floor ultrasound imaging has an emerging role in the assessment and management of pelvic floor disorders. Advances in ultrasound equipment and transducer technology has brought this modality within reach of many clinicians. This chapter covers the technique of 3D pelvic floor ultrasound and principles of 3D volume data analyses. There are case studies of the use of 3D ultrasound in assessment of sling and mesh complications, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction and perianal sepsis/fistulae.
