Abstract
As organisations grow, documentation along with categorisation of business information will become harder in traditional databases. In addition, these growing organisations will be involved with providing expensive computing resources. Cloud computing is a cutting-edge technology with huge amounts of advantages for most companies especially the ones that are highly dependent on information systems. Therefore, the current study aims to investigate and prioritise the factors affecting cloud computing adoption. The final model presented in this study has two main criteria (organisational and individual level), four sub criteria (organisation, technology, environment and user acceptance) and nine factors (business strategy, top management support, security and privacy, relative advantage, sharing and collaboration, competitive pressure, partner pressure, perceived trust and perceived ease of use). While, the results indicated that annual IT revenue is not considered as an important determinant in adopting cloud computing technology. In the second step, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) methodology is applied for measurement of the importance of determinants. Using fuzzy AHP approach, this study is the first attempt to prioritise the cloud computing adoption determinants. The knowledge on prioritisation of cloud computing adoption factors will lead to better understanding of its acceptance in the future.
