Abstract

This paper presents a design of Quad-Band polarization independent microwave absorber using metamaterial. Presented absorber is used for C-band as well as for X-band application. The absorptivity level for frequencies 5.0GHz and 7GHz in C-band are 85% and 95% and for frequencies 9.8GHz and 10.8GHz in X-band are 88% and 90%. Such type of absorber could be used in modern communication systems for airborne and surveillance radar signal absorption application.
