Abstract

An experiment to visualize Rabi oscillations with frequency ΩR was discussed. In cases in which a sequential measurement may be approximately treated as a continuous measurement it can in the selective regime be described by a stochastic master equation. This powerful calculational tool enables an optimal exploitation of the information contained in the readout of the continuous measurement.
