Abstract

An innovadve technique is presented for the Integral Equation analysis of prited antennas and arrays. It is based on the defiition of multiresolution vector basis functions with properties similar to those of the scalar wavelets; in particular, they are both spatially and spectrally localized. The resultig MoM impedance matrix shows strongly improved features, and especially a good conditioning, that allows a controlled sparsification, and makes the use of iterative methods possible for the solution of the linear system. Numerical results for realistic configurations are presented.
