Abstract

Early clinical evidence suggests that the sutureless aortic valve prosthesis is suitable for both traditional and minimally invasive approaches to minimize cross-clamp and bypass time, which may reduce perioperative risk. This chapter will overview the history, rational, current evidence and future directions for sutureless or rapid deployment aortic prostheses.
