Abstract
Changing a system with which users are already familiar presents special design challenges. One of the difficulties human factors practitioners face is to redesign a system that already exists within an operational environment. As a result of a desire to change the dimensions of Australian airspace at low altitude, an opportunity to consider the design of the ERC-Low is shown and the utility of alternative representations of airspace boundaries are examined.
