Abstract

The rigorous solution of the plane wave diffraction problem for two open spherical concentric shells (see Fig.l) has been described in [1]. The problem has been solved by the Method of Analytical Regularization {MAR). Employment of the MAR led to the coupled infinite linear algebraic equations with matrix operators that are compact perturbations of the identity. This allowed us to construct a highly efficient (fast converging) numerical algorithm, using the truncation version of these equations, where the computational accuracy depends only on the truncation number N. The solution is uniformly valid for any desired aperture size described by the angular parameters {Formula Method}.
