Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a relatively new branch of information technology. It is one of the pillars of many industrial innovations, as well as a critical component in supporting and advancing them. There are numerous studies and innovations that employ AI techniques in a variety of fields. AI has played an important role in agriculture, healthcare, education, finance, governance, and other fields. This chapter attempts to highlight studies that used AI techniques in agriculture, as this is a complex topic in itself. Agriculture is important to the global economy. In this regard, the demand for adequate and safer agricultural methods has increased over the last 21 years. AI-powered solutions can establish a model in farming while also increasing crop yield and quality. This chapter provides a thorough examination of the AI techniques used in agriculture. In this chapter, we present 77 papers from the last 21 years that take a variety of approaches but all revolve around the concept of AI. Furthermore, this research will enable the researchers to investigate both AI techniques and the agricultural field.
