Abstract
A 27 minute dramatised documentary. The story of refugee doctor Chris Nguyen and his struggle to have his medical qualifications accepted in Australia. A story of the pain of separation, the difficulty of assimilating into a new life in Australia, traumatic memories of family in Vietnam and a perilous sea journey to the promised land. Written, produced and directed by Kathryn Millard for SBS and the Office of Multicultural Affairs.
