Abstract

A numerical study of the scattering of an acoustic plane wave by an infinite cylindrical structure with a corner with Dirichlet boundary condition is reported. An integral equation formulation is employed for which rapidly convergent quadrature schemes are developed. The effectiveness of the scheme for a variety of interior angles of the corner: acute, obtuse and reflex, is discussed.
