Abstract

Recent Australian research indicates that some public spaces and activities (like schools and sports) may not be inclusive or as safe for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (GLBTIQ) people as they are for heterosexual people. This is because homophobia is carried over from individuals and communities into schools, workplaces and leisure activities.
