Abstract

A single fed circularly polarized microstrip antenna with C-slot is proposed. The patch radiator with a C-shaped slot is aperture coupled fed by a microstrip line. The proposed antenna can achieve a bandwidth of 3.1% for axialratio (AR) less than 3dB, return loss less than-15 dB and gain larger than 6 dBic. The overall size of the antenna is 0.48λo0. 48λo0.092λoat 2.4 GHz. The proposed antenna is useful for compact circularly polarized antennas and array design.
